Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff

Hey Guys I've got a great recipe to share.  I made this last night and my family loved it.  My husband said it had so much flavor and to say the least everyone was quiet during dinner time.  On the plus side it was a crock pot recipe and took no time to make.  Try it out you won't be disappointed.  This is from allrecipes.com I signed up for daily emails and have found some of the best recipes form this site.

Ingredients

  • 4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves - cubed
  • 1/8 cup margarine
  • 1 (.7 ounce) package dry Italian-style salad dressing mix
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup

Directions

  1. Put chicken, margarine and dressing mix in slow cooker; mix together and cook on low for 5 to 6 hours.
  2. Add cream cheese and soup, mix together and cook on high for another 1/2 hour or until heated through and warm.

WIWW

So another week went by and I feel like I have hardly slept.  I don't know why but I have been sooooo tired this week.  I think its the weather-raining and cold.  You know that damp cold that just chills your bones.  I guess I shouldn't complain some people live in temps below Zero.  But we shall talk again in august when it's nice warm weather up there and 100 degree sauna here!  For several months too boot!  Anyways her I am again linking up with http://www.thepleatedpoppy.com/ for another week of what I wore Wednesday.  I just love this, there are so many times I truly want to sit around in sweats with no makeup and even try to pull off going to the grocery store like that and I just think about the purpose of wiww and even hop on a few blogs and get inspired to get dressed and look decent.  These are all out of order, it took me a while to figure out what day I wore each outfit.  I guess I should hold up a calender when I take a picture!

I was messing around on photoshop trying to get a handle on the editing and stumbled across a few pics that I thought I would share.

This is when all the sudden Kooper learned how to say cheese

Those of you with toddlers/babies in diapers

Why put the pants back on when we aren't going anywhere?
And this kid poops 5 times a day!

Nerf Battle

This post is a little late, last Monday on our day of of school for Martin Luther king day we had a play date Nerf gun battle planned with some friends.  The boys have been looking forward to this all week.  They even pulled their money together to buy a new Nerf gun (more powerful) and bullets.  It was hard for them to spend their own money  (yet they have no problem spending mine) but Kyle actually chose to purchase the less expensive gun so he didn't use up all his money.  Smart thinking kid! See all that bargain shopping is rubbing off on the boys.  We had a great time even though it was cold and wet at least for the moms.  The play date continued at my house following lunch and ended up having a couple of other friends come over with the kids ( I should have gotten pics of them on the zip line) and as usual a few bottles of wine get opened and the moms hang out at the kitchen table drinking, snacking and watching the kids outside in the back yard. Sorry I think that was a run on sentence.  So here are some pics of the battle.

Kooper had a moment when he wanted to pose

Kooper drank and ate crackers the entire battle this was his fifth box drink and not sure if it was his!

Enjoy your weekend, its sunny here in H town!

Sunny Day

Today was our first sunny day in several weeks so when the boys got home from school we went outside and played around.  Even though it was in the low 40's it was cold.  But who cares it's sunny, not grey, not raining but bright and crisp.  I had a good day-Kooper has been an angel today and cooperated with all my errands.  Even shopping at the mall.  I was  on a quest to get some new black boots.  Pickins are slim, sizes have dwindled down to a 5 or 10 not much in between.  So the only thing bad was I had a delima between the Steve madden boots or the Carlos Santana boots.  So I called my fashion advisor aka shopping/blogging fashion stalker friend Vera and stopped by for a looksey.  No I could not keep both one had to go sorry Carlos you make sexy shoes but Steve one this battle.  Kooper was even good when we stopped by the county clerks office to get his birth certificate.  Yes he is almost 2 and we just realized we hadn't gotten it yet but that's ok we did the same thing with the first two boys.  So  here are a few pics of us today!

Kooper loves to take a ride with Kade
and big brother know it!

Kooper is into Kissing and hugging everything
even the valentines flag

Kyle looks like a super cool

Everyone have a great weekend!

WIWW

So I decided to get a little head start on this post of what I wore wednesday so that I won't be wrestling with Kooper and trying to edit and post.  I have finally finished watching erin cobbs clean color editing video and it was great.  Especially since I new nothing about photoshop cs5.  I have been very intimidated by it and it's complexity.  I'm still struggling a little with the templates, I did get it put together but noticed that my edit on two different pics of the same outfit didn't match one another.  I will just have to practice more.  It's a large learning curve and you have to start somewhere.  Also since I have to use the timer (because my crappin camera won't take a remote) it doesn't lock the focus on my face even though the selective focus is where my face is in every picture.  Frustrating! so here it goes

Either Wednesday or Thursday
I can't remember what day but I made myself get dressed
Sweater-banana republic
jeans-denim and paper

Monday-Kids off so we had a nerf gun battle with some friends
it was cold and wet so I wanted to dress warm
I have worn this outfit many times and never got a snap shot of it
Sweater- fuzzy and warm anthropologie (you can't see the bow pattern)
tank-old navy
jeans-old navy (flares)

Tuesday-Drs appt-ran around did some window shopping
Dress-old navy
cardi-forever 21
belt-forever 21
leggings-forever21

So I'm not so inlove with the way my colors look on these pics-they look a little wanky! the tank I wore on monday was navy and now it looks purple.  I need to make some camera adjustments so hopefully next week will look better on the color.  Have a great week!

Kooper aka Monster baby

One day I was out shopping with Kooper and I came across this book:

I started to flip through and died laughing, it was full of pictures of all the things that kids have ruined especially inside the house.  So I just thought that my second child was a tornado but then came along the the taz manian devil (did I spell that correct?) Kooper!  It just amazes me what he can get into so after seeing this book I decided to start taking pictures of all the things he gets into because "this too shall pass"  and hopefully I will laugh about it later.
The main reason I started this blog was because I can journal about our everyday comings and goings and attach along some pictures.  I love to scrapbook but lets admit it, this is easier.  By the time I print out the pictures, buy the papers and embellishments, research and find a good layout, and the find the time to sit and put it all together it could be 1 year later.  Then I need to journal all about it! Forget it.  This is easier and at the tip of my fingers. I need to get my camera and just walk around the house and start taking pics.  So here is the latest destruction that Kooper has caused.

It could be worse.  At least his room smells good.
Mommy loves her baby!
